    Formatting Whole Numbers

    Hi All

Hope someone can help with a question.

I have a table a data with all numbers as whole with no decimal points.

The data needs to show the number with 1 decimal place.......for example 3214 should be 321.4.

My question is ....is there a way of formatting the numbers and if not what would be the easiest way to change the data.

It has to be the easiest way, because people with very little experience of excel will using the information

    Many thanks

    Diane

You can change how the numbers are displayed by applying the custom numberformat: #0"."0

This may be confusing, though. If you'd rather change the actual values stored, you could do the following:
    - Enter the value 10 in an unused cell
    - Copy this cell
    - Highlight your required data range
    - Paste Special > Select Operation: Divide > OK
let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

It depends what you want/need to happen. If you need 3214 to remain in the cell and be used as an integer value in calculations, you could use a custom format:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

If you actually need to convert the number to have 1 decimal place, you could divide all the numbers by 10. Easiest way to do that is with Copy and Paste Special with the Divide Operator.
