Excel Noob Needs Help With a Formula!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but here it goes.

I'm working on a school assignment. I must use provided data and conduct a simple formula on said data. So far I've been doing this manually, but I'm thinking you guys can help me find a quicker way to do this.

Now, I'm a noob at Excel, so I don't know all of the terminology. Hence, my explanation will be very simple. The pattern should be easy to see.

Row A contains dates and Row B contains the actual data. I'm using Row C to conduct formulas. The formula starts on at C24.

    At C24 I have =((B24-B20)/B20)*100
    At C25 I have =((B25-B21)/B21)*100
    At C26 I have =((B26-B22)/B22)*100
    At C27 I have =((B27-B23)/B23)*100
    This would continue until C278...

What would be a faster way to do this than typing out the formulas manually? Please explain in a way that will help me in the future when I need to do something like this. Thanks!

Once you have entered the formula in cell C24, select that cell again and click the <copy> icon - you will see an animated dotted line appear around the cell (so-called marching ants). Now you must define the range into which you want to copy that formula - move the cursor into cell C25 (or just click on that cell), hold down the <SHIFT> key and use the <arrow-down> key repeatedly until you get to cell C278, then release the <SHIFT> key. You will see that the range C25:C278 has now been selected (it appears in a different colour to the rest of the cells. Then you can just press the <Enter> key and the formula will be copied down - the cell references will automatically be adjusted to suit each row.

    Hope this helps.
