Formatting problem using the @averageif function

    Hi,

I am using the @averageif function and for all my categories, the formula result is correct for all the lines, except for line 2 (military contingents). All the results are 0%. I was wondering if it was a format issue and I changed the criteria to match another line and the results were fine. Any suggestions on what I could check?

    Category: 1 2
    Military Observers 12% 11%
    Military Contigents 0% 0%
    UN Police k 20% 21%
    Formed Police Unit 12% 12%
    International Staff 11% 11%
    National Staff 8% 8%

Re: Formatting problem using the @averageif function

Check for trailing spaces or multiple spaces between words. The function =LEN(cell) will tell you how many characters there are in a cell, as it is difficult to count spaces !!

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
