HELP: Select Multiple Cells From Different Sheets in Name Manager for Use in Charts

    Hi all -
Thank you so much for your help.
I am trying to select a few different cells from multiple/different sheets in my workbook but name them in "Name Manager".
Then based on that "Name", use it as an axis in a chart. Is there a way to do that?
In the past I've used the Offset function to use a range of cells but that was only on one sheet and adjacent cells. This time I want to pick a cell from each sheet that will be used as points on the chart axis?

So far I've tried entering the following in Name Manger to select the cells but nothing seems to be working when I select the name in the series for the axis in the chart:

The only way I have found to get around the Name Manager's insistence to keep the ranges in a sheet is to use CHOOSE. This should create an array of the values you want to use.
    =CHOOSE({1,2,3,4,5},'2009'!$AA$9,'2010'!$AA$9,'2011'!$AA$9,'2012'!$AA$9,'2013'!$AA$9)
