Hello Everyone!
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer! I'm trying to do a cost analysis and I need to a graph that shows data by years. In the excel attached you see an installation date for the item, the last day of the year that it was installed (YE date), cost per year for the year installed, and cost per year for all years after the install year. The objects have been installed in multiple years.
As an example, I'm going to look at what I will need to collect for data in 2015. I will need just one formula to do the following (if possible):
All records with YE date <12/31/2015 --> [(12/31/2015 - YE date)*($/YR post install year)]+($/YR Install Yr)
All records with YE date =12/31/2015 --> ($/YR Install Yr)
And then I need the two values added together in the cell. The thing is, I don't know how to get a formula applied to each individual record based on date by itself and then all of the values collected from each record totalled. I could just make another column for each year I need to collect data and just SUM those seperately, but my spreadsheet is already quite large and I need to show the graph over a 10 year span.
Thank you if you can help! Thank you if you can't help but looked at this!
Have a wonderful day!
