Applying If statement to Image's?

Hello,

I have 12 different images in my excel sheet and the images have text boxes placed over certain parts of them. I am trying to set up a spreadsheet on a different sheet in which if I change the value for example cell A1 anywhere between 1-12 the corresponding image with textboxs appears next to it from the other sheet in the form of just an image. From looking at online I found that I can define the cells behind the relevant image with a name, I then can paste an image as a link and specify the formula as ="definedname" and the image appears but I can not apply an if statement to this. Could anyone please tell me how I could achieve this without the using VBA?
