    Search and find the difference

    Hi,

    I have attached the excel files which contains the type of format I use.

    I need to calculate the received when..

    search by client name using "*"&Cell reference&"*" then match the expiration date then transaction type. if all conditions are true, then calculate the difference between i.e. Subtract expiration date - recieived date..

    if more information is required i will provide..

    Please advise..

    How did you arrive at (1) and(10)?

    Actually (1) is a way we tracj the member name.in bracket mostly it is of type14011, 13041,. I used "*"& string to lookup..

    I m not getting the way to return received date from sheet 2...
    I need is lookup with string and return the received date.

    Im confused what if your base data, and what would your expected outcome look like?
