Help with a formula or tips on how to proceed

Hi,

i have a excel sheet where i have following collum and this is a large sheet that shows the oil price every minute that day
Date , time Price
29.09.2009 12.00 60.00
29.09.2009 12.01 60.10


on a seperate cell i have specified on what price i bougt oil for that specific day
Date Buy price
29.09.2009 62.00
30.09.2009 63.00

i want to serach trough the "29.09.2009" and see if the price reached higher than my buy price and then return the cell nr so far i have manage that but the problem is how can automate that when the formula reaches the end of "29.09.2009" then it shoud proceed to compare price for the next day 30.09.2009 againts 63.00 and not 62.00 for the previous day.
