How to increase the calculation speed

Hi,

I Developed an application using Excel in that i used so many formulas, but when i am trying to enter some data in that application each data entry is taking more than 2 mins, so complete data entry is taking so much time. Please help me to how to increase the speed of application.

I will explain about my application, in my excel application I am using 3 excel files, i have taken some data from these excel files to to my excel application, all these excel files are there in one folder only including my application.

I have used following functions in my application:

Index, Match, Today(),sumproduct,Countif, Averageif,Rows(), IF

Thanks for the reply,

I incorporated suggestions given in post#2, still my excel is running very slow, it is taking minimum 5min to enter one value in one cell. When I am trying to enter some value in one cell after i press 'enter' or 'tab' or 'down_arrow' it is showing "calculating (4 processor(s)) %" and taking so much time to see that value in that cell
