When you put an engineer number into the search box on the search form it will then populate the other boxes with whos area it is and whos covering.
What I am trying to get it to do is some covering engineers will appear more than once in the covering coloun as they can cover more that one area. if the covering engineer number is entered it will only bring up one area when i would need to to show in another cell or cells which other area the covering engineer is looking after.
Are you able to provide a sample that includes more than one record?
In order to help you out, it would be best to have a larger sample of your data source. The fire checklist only lists a single entry, which isn't something you'd generally use INDEX(..MATCH( for. If you can show what it would look like with many records, we can help you with the workarounds that seem to be causing you issues.

50007112 Cardiff 201F22000 Southwest Region Vacant 50007106
50007384 Cardiff 201F22000 Southwest Region holiday 50007106
This is what is entered on the search form and displayed
Num entered 50007106
Branch Region
Cardiff 201F22000 Southwest Region
Area Eng Comments Covering Engineer(s) Telephone Number
50007112 Vacant 50007106
What i want is other cells under neath to disp that 50007106 in covering is also covering 50007384 without entering 50007384
Some engineers can cover up a maxium of 3 areas
or can you come up with a better surgestion
