Trying to use # instead of column numbers for calulation

my calulation is:
=IF(F#<100*I#,F#,IF(AND(D#>2800*I#,D#<3500*I#),AVERAGE(D#,E#),IF(D#>3500*I#,E#,D#)

When i use a number EX 36 (F36,D36,E36..) through the equation it works, however when i replace with # the formula breaks. I am importing data from an instrument and need this to apply as an caluclations for all cells that are named Co.
I have done this many times before but do not know why this is breaking....
Any thoughts,
Thanks,

which comes from where/how?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Trying to use # instead of column numbers for calulation

see attached sheet what i am doing is importing data from an istument that then gets evaluated in stat data page. This formula i need in the average when evaluating Co.
you can see the previous formulas we have in the calculations page, this is where the # sign comes in vs the actaully rowm number.
please ask any futher questions, it is hard for me to explain.
Thanks,
Carlee

Re: Trying to use # instead of column numbers for calulation

You said you have used this method before and it worked? Can you show samples of that please, because that set-up for a formula just does not make sense to me.

Also, On the CALC sheet, you show all these formulas (in text format), where are some of them being (or to be) used?

This current spreadsheet is all in use if you see the calculation transfers to the specified average.
Maybe i forgot to leave the new formula in text form... let me try that.
All i am doing is modifying the current Co formula located on the calc for to the one that i have written about to inculde a nested AND statement....
