    Hi,

    please see the file attached

You could format numbers as 0000 (see the example)

The VLOOKUP is OK, maybe you have to copy the format from column B of "file" sheet

    Regards

    Hi Cifford

You just have to format the cells.
    1. In File 2 #c2 format the cell as Date & Time from format cell, as dd-mm-yy hh:mm
    2. in file 1 #a1 format the cell as number, then select custom in type put 0000.
    Plz see the attachment

    Re: Problem with vlookup

    for account number
    Use custom format and put
    0000
that will add the leading zero to a 4 digit number
    ie 0001
    or
    0025

also custom format the date the same as file sheet

    DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM

    Re: Problem with vlookup

that should work - I changed your example OK

    right click
    format
    custom
    DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM

you need to apply that format to all the column
should change when copying the cell down
