Vlookup with the hyperlink

I would like to use VLOOKUP (or any other lookup function) to pull the contents of a cell along with its hyperlink. I am aware of the HYPERLINK function, but the source table that I am looking up to does not have the full path or even the actual name of the file in the cell. For example, the original cells says "Document A" and links to a file that is named "Example of Document Included in Report A VII.pdf". I want to look up this content ("Document A") along with the hyperlink on a separate sheet. Is this possible?

It isn't really possible to attach a workbook because the links won't work.

Imagine worksheet1 with a lookup table: in column A are 10 rows with letters A - J, and in column B are document names. The document names link to a file, but that file does not have the same name as what appears in column B.

In worksheet2, column A has hundreds of rows, whose entries are a letter between A through J. I want to basically look up the contents of column B in worksheet1, including the links, and put them in column B of worksheet2.
