    Vlookup

    Hai there,

I've got quantity 2 excel workbooks (A & B) around 100k rows by 150 columns data in each and file size around each 100 MB.

When i tried to get data from A to B using vlookup {i followed the syntax correctly}; the vlookup formula itself shown in the cell but not the result.

i manually searched the value & it is there in A.
Earlier I've used many times vlookup in this workbook B and it was OK.

what may be the possible reasons to show up the vlookup formula in the result cell instead of the expected result/value.

    Many thanks for your time.
    Best Regards,
    Mujahid.

    Re: Vlookup

Sounds like the cell(s) you put the formula(s) in was formatted as Text before you entered the formula.

Format the cells as General, then RE-Enter the formula.

I am glad you got your question answered, but for future reference, please ensure that your thread titles moree clearly explain what your problem is. "vlookup" hardly describes the problem you had
