Text within a field to return a '1' in another cell

    Hi Guys,

Would greatly appreciate your help with a problem that has stumped me.

I have answers in one cell ranging from a blank cell, 'Mon' all the way to 'Mon;#Tue;#Wed;#Thu;#Fri' (any number of days can appear in the one cell)

If the response appears in A1 then I would like for the following.

In B1: If the word 'Mon' appears to return a 1
In C1: If the word 'Tue' appears to return a 1
all the way through to F1 for 'Fri'

I would also like blank cells to remain blank and have no error or '0'

    Thank you in advance.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

I actually just had an old friend walk past my desk who solved it

    =IF(ISERROR(SEARCH(B$2, $A3, 1)), "", 1)

Glad I found this forum though. It is now in my tabs.

Thank you for the quick response
