Using 2 Data Validation List that with change with each other

Not sure if this is possible using Data Validation. Sample sheets attached. Two Data Validation List on Sheet 1 and Two Named ranges on sheet 2. I am wanting to select a value in either list( B9 or B12) on sheet 1 and the other data validation list will automatically change to reflect a match from the same row on sheet 2 and display the matching result of my choice in either box I use. I hope I have explained enough for someone else to understand my quandary. Thank you all in advance for any possible solutions and time considering an answer.

In your file I don’t see any need for dependent drop down.

Place the cursor in B12 Cell and press Alt+E+A+A to clear the cell validation.

In B12 cell paste the below formula

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B9,Sheet2!A:E,5,FALSE),"")

Do changes on B9 cell and the B12 cell will auto populate the results based on the B9 cell selections.

Thank you for your quick response. But, I will be using both cells B9 and B12 as Data Validation List to auto populate each other and in addition other cells, which isn't listed on the sheet.

Instead of LIST choose CUSTOM in validation and paste the given formula and check.

Just wanted to inform you that the suggested method wont work if there is multiple matches or multiple results. In that case we have to go for some other approach which you can get the details by doing a google search with the keyword Dependent Drop Down List In Excel Validation. Since I am replying from mobile device so I cant able to get you the links.
