Can anyone suggest how to automate inserting empty cells down the column in a regular manner - e.g. after every cell?

You can do it formula but will be a lengthy one. Instead use a macro to get this done easily.

many many thanks, it does work! How to modify the macro if this time I'd like to insert an empty cell after every second cell, instead of after every single cell?
