Forumula for MAX

n my spread sheet i have 2 columns one been the name of the person other been number tickets open.
Name 2
Name2 4
Name3 3
I want a formula that can tell me the max number in column B and display who has the highest number by getting the information from A column. so the end result in would be simply Name2

Try

=INDEX(A1:A100,MATCH(MAX(B1:B100),B1:B100,0))

A1:A100
// list of names

B1:B100
// numbers per name

C1 = MAX(B1:B100)
// the biggest number in the number array

D1 = Index(A1:A100, Match(C1, B1:B100, 0) )
// Name of FIRST person in list with max number (if two people have equally big numbers the second will not be listed)
