    Excel list of values that change with data entered

    I am trying to figure out how to create a list of values (data validation with a list) but have the list be conditional based on another list choice. For example if I have one list that is 1, 2 & 3 and each has a sublist, i want a second pull down list to only show the sublist associated with my choice from the first list. Any suggestions?

    I am a new subscriber to this forum. I work with Excel a lot and the more I learn the more I find it useful. I also help others as I learn.

    Hi and welcome to the forum

    See if the attached sample is what you are looking for. It uses names ranges (1 for each "set" of data) and uses the INDIRECT() function to use those named ranges
