    Sum using conditional formatting

Attached is a table. the numbers indicate that the position was worked. i would like the cell to highlight if there are 9 values in a row. if the row has a 0 then the count resets.
I thought conditional formatting would be the way but i am unsure of the formula involved.
I could just have another row counting each cells but trying to keep the worksheets as clean as possible.
