What excel formula could I use if I wanted to a partial match in more than 2 columns?

    Hi,

    Hope you can help!

I am trying to do a service award spreadsheet.

For example if I have the service date in column E, F and G

    24/01/2013
    27/01/2008
    11/02/2013
    24/05/2008
    24/07/2010

then in column F - i need a formila that will confirm yes or no

basically i am trying to vlookup anything date has "2013" on?

    can anyone help?

    thank you so much

    sandy

As in your other thread - be more precise.

Do you want to return "YES" if the dates in all three columns are ALL in 2013?
Do you want to return "YES" is the date in any one of the columns is in 2013?

And do you really want your new formula in Column F, too?

It may be useful to attach a workbook, showing the data you have, and make clear what you want.
let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

    Hi

    Please see attached test file.

so for example column a-i = service date (row 2 = year of service)

for example in Column J 2013
I want the result to me any have a 2013 date on will return to years of service (which is in column A 16-24

    Many thanks
