Hi

I am new to the forum and by no means an advanced Excel user but I hope someone can help me with this time sensitive task :-)

I have a CSV file that contains a large number of lines of our inventory. Each line needs to have a unique SKU attached to it. This SKU needs to have the last 2 digits/letters relevant to information in other columns on the same line in the CSV.

The last letter in the SKU needs to be relevant to the 'Condition' of the item. This is either 'New', 'Very Good', 'Good' or 'Acceptable'. I would like to assign either 'N', 'V' , 'G' or 'A' to the end of the SKU for each item. In addition to this there is another column headed 'Status' which either shows 'New', 'Complete in Box', 'Boxed', 'Cart/CD Only' or 'Misc'. I would like to assign the number 1, 2, 3,4 or 5 as the 2nd to last number in the SKU.

How would I go about automating this? I assume via a formula but apologies if that is incorrect and this is in the wrong folder on the forum...

I appreciate any help.

Thanks, Tom
