I am new to forums in general and this one in particular. I have been working hours on a spreadsheet for construction work in progress. My hang up is the adjusting journal entry. I need the columns to undo the previous entry and add the new entry, but only showing the difference between the 2. This requires getting columns to consider prior entries. I am SO confused. I understand the accounting, but can't figure out how to tell excel what I want.
