Hi Guys,

I am struggling with this formula. I have a list of websites that I am working on.

http://www.example.com
http://www.example.co.uk
http://www.example.net
http://www.example.info
http://www.example.org

I want to replace all the 'example' words with the ' * ' character. I know I can use the find and replace so I am left with

example.com
example.co.uk
example.net
example.info
example.org

What find an replace formula do I need so that all characters BEFORE the first dot are replaced with the star ' * '. The websites will all be different lengths. I can then add the http://www. back into the formula. Would appreciate any help as I am rattling my brain over this
