Need help with Calendar formula for previous year and next year

I found an Excel template that gives me a calendar year based on the number that I put into cell A4. This will then populate the 12 months with the correct dates in the correct day. However, I can not figure out how to get the month of December for the previous year and the month of January for the following year to work. Can someone help me figure out why the additional two months only give me blank days? I am using Excel 2010 version and I have attached the spreadsheet. I thought that if I used the same formula set up in the main calendar that all I would need to do is change the location of the reference year from A4 to A34 or A35, but it is not working. I am stumped on this one. Maybe overthinking it.
