Conditional Formatting Options

Hi All,
I hope someone can help me.
I would like to conditionally format a whole row of cells based on the conditions I set from one individual cell in that row.
As an example I want to 'grey out' a whole row of cells based on whether I input a '0' in the A1 cell which I consider to be my 'order' cell, if I then input a '1' I want the text in the row of cells to appear.
I know how to conditional format a 'grey out' cell by cell but I was just wondering whether I can be conditionally format a whole row based on the conditions I set in one cell.

Hope it makes sense.

Thanks for all your help.

Re: Conditional Formatting Options

Hi and welcome to the forum

1st I would cation against using CF on an entire row/column, it can become very resource-heavy - rather apply to the range you need.

OK assuming your "criteria" cell is B2....

1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to (maybe A2:J50)
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter =$B2=0 format fill grey
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
