    Conditional formatting

Hi - I have a grid full of dates of fixtures between football teams. I want to format the text colour of each cell based on which day of the week it is. e.g. if the date is a Sunday, colour red, Saturday colour blue, Monday colour green. I am using Excel 2003 so I realise that I have a maximum of 3 conditions. The file is attached below. Thank you for any help.

    Re: Conditional formatting

Select B2:Y25 and go to format|Conditional Formatting, select Formula is and enter formula:

    =WEEKDAY(B5,1)=1

format as red for sunday, repeat formatting with 2 for Monday and 6 for Saturday.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
