    Angry SUMPRODUCT syntax problem

I'm trying to pull the sum of a certain array that are equal to another array. I've historically used OpenOffice, which I like, but I need my documents to be more portable. So now I've converted to Excel. My document had certain formulas that Excel didn't like. The first of which I'm struggling to convert.

In OpenOffice the following formula did the job =SUMPRODUCT(H3:H18=$E3:$E18), if 6 items matched in these array, then the cell would simply return a value of 6, this returns the dreaded #VALUE error in excel.

    Any help would be appreciated.
