How to forced number to stored as a text

    Hello,

I have a problem regarding to copy and paste number. The thing is I have a table help calculate item id and it uses vlookup to returns a result. So if somebody copy the id from other sources and paste to the table it won't return the lookup because you need to convert number to text using function "Text to column" in excel.

Is there a way that the table can convert to text automatically when someone paste any values from other sources to the table?

I already tried to format the table column to Text but it did not work unless you have to do "Text to column" function to store the number as text.

    Appreciate if you can help

You can use the TEXT function to convert a number to text.
