Have a problem that I cannot work out
I have two tables- each with three columns
In the first two columns are the start and finish dates. In the third column of each table is an amount.
I need to amalgamate the two tables in chronological order with the corresponding amounts from each table.
Have saved an example, with the answer
If anyone has any ideas, I would be most grateful

How do we know that:

The day after 31/12/2003 is 01/01/2004
The nearest date after 01/01/2004 from end_1 and end_2 is 31/07/2006
The (0.2) in Amount_1 is within the range of dates 01/08/01 to 31/07/06
The (30) in Amount_2 is within the range of dates 01/08/01 to 31/06/09
Have just noticed that Amount_1 in the answers row 17 should be 6.80
