    Sort in ascending order

I have tables containing a mix of cell contents copied from another location and "new" content. As new rows are added I want to present data in ascending order of entries in one row. The attachment shows that thiis doesn't happen as predicted. The "before", "during" & "desired" after are all clearly illustrated in it.

    Re: Sort in ascending order

If you want to sort then the references should be absolute

    Re: Sort in ascending order

Unfortunately, neither of these do what I want, as the data ARE a mixture of references and "freshly entered" text.

    Re: Sort in ascending order

did you try mixing absolute references and 'fresh text'?

I assume it is the bottom set of tables you are sorting?

    Re: Sort in ascending order

    Yes i did try..

See the notes in rows 27-32 for an explanation of what I'm (not) doing... The colured cells, relating to the new CC (222) show the problem that I've run up against. Thanks for you patience....
