Need help please with a formula

Hello all, I posted about this, somewhat last night but it went stale, and I shouldn't have started a new thread my apologies. I thought this might make it easier to make this new one.

I have a formula that messing around enough with some help and google searching, I made this work (there is a problem with it though)

=IF(B1="cl","10:30 pm",A1-B1)*24

If I enter a time like 4 pm into cell A1, and 8 pm into cell B1, it works perfectly.
But if I enter cl into B1, the cell I put this formula in shows 22.50 (which is just the 10:30 time) and doesn't put it as the hours from 4 pm to 10:30 pm.

Can anyone help me get this fixed please

*Note: I've also tried every variation of changing the PM with caps and lower case
