Formula to change a word to a number

hey ive been given a data sheet listing Small and Large is there any easy way to change these to 0 and 1 respectively without doing it manually? thanks.

Hi,

You could do a global Find & Replace.

Alternatively, using an Excel formula you could try in cell B1:

where column A contains "Large" and "Small" (and potentially other values too?), and column B is where you want the 0 and 1 returned.
