Pull Data Based On Dates

Hey guys! This is the first time I stopped by this site before. I need some help with something that's probably very simple... Hopefully.

I'm creating a spreadsheet for the resort I work at. It's basically an inspection sheet for each unit. I have different spreadsheets for each building, inside that sheet there are different tabs that represent the rooms. Each room has 3 potential inspections.

So...

Building X (Whole spreadsheet)
Rooms (Tabs)
Within each tab, there are three available inspection forms.

Now, the issue... On each inspection form, there is a date inputted. I need to create a new "Search" tab that I can input a date rang between cells and it will return scores based on those dates... The audit is judged on "X" - "C" - "I". X=Condition, C=Cleanliness and I=Inventory. So, (reference picture) on the top of every inspection form for the unit, there is a total generated of how many X's, how many I's, etc. I need to be able to put in a date range on this search tab, and then have it search every unit on that spreadsheet and then return how many X's were counted... How many I's were counted... and how many C's were counted... for all the units in that sheet, within the specified date range.

Thanks for all of your help!

Hallo and welcome.
You will be better of to attached a workbook instead of picture.
How anyone can test your data?

Hi and welcome to the forum

As Robert suggested, please do not upload a picture of your file...rather, upload a sample of your workbook, showing what data you are working with, a few samples of your expected outcome is (manually entered is ok) and how you arrived at that. (exclude sensitive info). Pictures are pretty much impossible to edit, and no-one wants to re-type your data for you

Also, it is a generally accepted "rule of thumb" that you have ALL your data on 1 sheet, andthen run summaries on another/other sheet/s

this means that instead of having different workbooks for different buildings, and different worksheets for different rooms, you have it all on 1 sheet with extra columns that show the building and room
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Pull Data Based On Dates

You know, I thought about that after I left. How are you guys supposed to edit a screenshot. That made no sense, so I apologize on that part.

FDibbins, I'm not entirely sure I understand what you mean as far as having multiple spreadsheets. How do you suggest I lay it out? I'm completely open to suggestions. I'm sure there is a much better way to lay it out than how I have it.

So right now, I have the following workbooks...

V-Building 151
V-Building 153
V-Building 155
V-Building 159
V-Building 161
V-Building 163
V-Building 167

And then I have another set of 9, for our other property. We have two properties that we manage here, one has 7 buildings, the other has 9. All the sheets should look identical, with the exception of room numbers and things like that.

Anyways, attached is the V-Building 151 sheet. If you wouldn't mind, check it out and see what suggestions you have. The ultimate goal is to have a way to pull the X,C,I results based on a selected date range. If that makes any sense...

I appreciate you guys taking the time to help me with this. You're awesome.

Sorry your file is password-protected, so I cant edit anything If you dont want the password known, unprotect the workbook and send again please

But this is the technique I would use for this...
=INDIRECT("'"&'Cover Page'!A3&"'!B3")
