Conditional formatting on pivot field header

I would like to apply conditional formatting to a pivot table field header to change it to a different colour if a filter has been applied to that field. This would give the user a quick view of where filters have been applied, particularly on pre-applied filters. I cannot figure out how to do this - can anybody help please?

defends what's in the field, and whether you have totals etc

Thanks, but that will not work where you have many fields with subtotals on some of them.
