    Splitting Data

    Hi All,

I have an excel sheet consists of company name. I am trying to use " Text to Column" in excel. I want them to split based on the " space." I am unable to get the proper result. I had done all the possibility. Please check the attachment file.

    Re: Splitting Data

I found the issue. Invisible character 160 is between the cells. In B2, put =substitute(a2,char(160)," "), copy downwards.

Then copy the result, paste values over your original text, and Text to Columns with a space delimiter.

Alternatively, you can select the space out of the original text and paste that single space into the delimiter of Text to Columns. (It's not a normal space)

    Re: Splitting Data

Sometime if can't do the "Text to Column" due to this kind of problem.
You can try copy the "SPACE", paste in to other option and choose both space and other.
    It can solve it easily.
