Dragging an inconsistent formula but cell reference from source data is still in series

    bracket value FORMULA

    A 10 +Sheet1!$A1
    10 +C5
    10 +C6
    10 +C7
    10 +C8
    B 20 +Sheet1!$A2
    20 +C10
    20 +C11
    20 +C12
    20 +C13
    C 30 +Sheet1!$A3
    30 +C15
    30 +C16
    30 +C17
    30 +C18

    Hi Guys,

Figures above are example. Is there any formula wherein, if i drag the formula in bracket A down to bracket B,C and so on, the cell reference Sheet1!$A1 will still be in series if it will be dragged down???

    Hi,

It's a little unclear from the data you presented. Could you post a small file indicating your desired results?

Re: Dragging an inconsistent formula but cell reference from source data is still in serie

    Hi XOR LX

My source data is in sheet1 A1:A20 with the value 10,20,30,&so on... what i want in sheet2 is "c4=+Sheet1!$A1 then in c5:c8=c4 then in c9=+Sheet1!$A2 then c10:c13=c9. my question is, is there a formula replacing =+sheet1!$a1 wherein i will not linked individually from sheet1 to sheet2. because if will just dragged the formula in c4=+Sheet1!$A1 to c9, the result will be =+Sheet1!$A6 not =+sheet1!$A2

Your description does not match the screenshot you attached.

=Sheet1A1 is in cell C3 in the latter, cell C4 in the former.

The formulas in C4:C7 in the attached (C5:C8 in your description?) are all different, yet in your description you say that they should all be =C4

    Please clarify.

    Regards
