Conditional formatting IF formula

I am trying to create an IF formula that is based on how long someone is out of date. I would like cells B and C to fill to red if out of date for a year or more and orange if 6 months to 1 year. Currently I am using conditional formatting "format cells that contain" =NOW()-365 for red and =NOW()-186 for orange, the problem is it is only on the selected cells, C. How can I do this to make both B and C fill vice just C? Please see attachment. Thank you!

Re: Conditional formatting IF formula

I would like the name column to change color with date column when the criteria is met. Currently only the date column changes. I have attached a updated workbook. Any suggestions?

Yes, but when I use the spreadsheet you attached it does not change the cell fill at all.

Re: Conditional formatting IF formula

Remove all CF rules and start again.

1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter =YEAR(TODAY())-YEAR($C35)>0 format fill RED
repeat 3 & 4 change to =TODAY()-$C35>182.5

Make sure the 1st formula is 1st in the list
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
