Talking Golf Lowest Score - With Set condition

    Hello,

Our golf tournament is coming up and they decided to change the rules on scoring.

    Conditions:
    If tied = 0.5
    Out 1 - 9 = 1 Point on lowest score
    In 10 - 18 = 1 Point on lowest score
Total from above = 1 Point on lowest score
    Indicate Winner

Have attached a example file if you can please let me know how I can set-up. Lowest scores are already highlighted via conditional formatting.

    Appreciate your help.

I added the following formulas to the following cells:

    AA7:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
    AA8:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Copy those cells across to the In and TTL columns.

    Then in AD7:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Copy that formula to the cells below.
This will show both names in the case of a draw (assumed behaviour).

[EDIT] Beaten to the punch. A difference in behaviour with Amy's solution is that I have based the winner from the TTL (total?) column only rather than a sum of the out, in and TTL columns.
Take your pick depending on the required behaviour.
    :o)

...and another way which uses the same formula that can be copied down.

    AA7:
    =IF(OR(AND(W7=W8,MOD(ROW(),2)=1),AND(W7=W6,MOD(ROW(),2)=0)),0.5,IF(W7=IF(MOD(ROW(),2)=1,MIN(W7,OFFSET(W7,1,0)),MIN(W7,OFFSET(W7,-1,0))),1,""))

    copy across and down
    AD7:
    =IF(AD7=1,D7,"")
    copied down.

Nice one Richard! I learn so much from all of you...

This thread is solved but how would the formula slightly changed if the conditions were as follows?

    Conditions:
If tied = 0.5 (same as before)
Out 1 - 9 = 1 Point on lowest score who have won more holes from 1 to 9 (different condition)
In 10 - 18 = 1 Point on lowest score who have won more holes from 10 to 18 (different condition)
Total from above = 1 Point on lowest score (same as before)
    Indicate Winner (same as before)

    Example on result would be:

    Hi,

    See the attached

Z, AA & AB are the holes won. I left the scores in place but you may just want to put these formulae directly in W:Y. If so Cut and paste NOT Copy and Paste
