Try a pivot table or use the advanced filter.

Perhaps if you posted some sample data it would be easier to help you out.
in A1:A20 i have a list of names some are duplicates. in row b i want to see the same names but without the duplicates. but i will need it as a formula not a copy paste remove duplicates. is it possible
Using the information from the link I posted above, here are two solutions. An array formula and a non array formula.
The only difference is, for neatness sake, I've wrapped each in an IFERROR to clear up any #N/A
