Conditional Formating Dates

I am wanting to format start dates of hiring with due dates of trainings, like say D10 has a start date of 1/19/13 and that person has to have training done within 3 months of his start date in column D10. his 3 months date in AA10 is the due date that his training must be completed of 4/19/13 and I want the due date to turn color yellow 30 days before due date and red when it is due. what formula would I use for the conditional formatting.

Similar but a little different. See attached (note my date formatting is English style and not American)

Try changing A2 to 3 different dates: 1/7/2013, 1/6/2013, 1/5/2013 and see the different results you get.
