need help when a condition is met change the value of a cell , and copy contents to a cell

I want that when if selected absent code : ( V or S ) for either vacation or sick automaticlly on column F where the reg hours go, to insert a number 8 , and that coresponding date is copied to either the vacaction
or sick balance table with also the number 8 in the hours colmun

the absent colum has a drop list to choose the V or S code

note: but also need that the hours column that has a formula , to be usable in case the number 8 is removed using the blank option in the drop list : (

As per the request I have made to insert the data in the Vacation column and Sick Column. Please have a check with attached file.

Here on the Cell Change I check if the value is V or S and then insert the data in the Vacation Column or Sick Column

shyamhappy thanks for the response check the included file you sent me : ) , the are in blue is great that is what i wanted but the reg hours column that is in yellow you see it has a formula : check f7 , f8, f9 , etc , in K10 its vacation code and i need a number 8 to go in reg hours column that is in yellow where there is a formula , is there a way to put the 8 there when the code is either V or S only when that condition is met , without afecting the formula in other words if by error i selected V or S and the 8 apears there i can select the blank from the drop list and the formula apears again ? : (

please check now.

ok checked it but supose i entered by error V code on 7-25-2013 and want to reset the reg hrs cell - (F 13 ) so it can have the formula again to use the in-out data entries, because once the 8 is entered upon selecting the V or S code the formula disapears : ( , is there any way that if i select the blank option in the drop list the formula can apear again to be used : ( ?

Could you please check this?
