I think that may be a UDF that someone put together for you? I use 2007 and can find no =SERIES() function?

Unless it is from a chart where the =SERIES() "function" (because I'm not sure it really is a function) is used to define a given data series for the chart. If this is the case, then the first argument is the name for the data series, the 2nd argument is the "x/category data", the 3rd argument is the "y/value" data, and the final argument is the plot order (1 is the first series plotted, 2 is the 2nd series plotted, and so on). The MNRCALDATE and MNRCALPA would refer to named ranges in the specified file.
