my fomula does not work on cells that contain output values of other formulas

Hi.

So im using the sumif function, and the range that contain the text elements are outputs of another formula (mostly = another cell).

So here is my problem: the range contains a value "FA3" that is the output of formula (=AH35) the sumif formula has "FA3" as criteria, yet does not recognize the output of "FA3".
But when I enter "FA3" manually in the range, it picks it up and adds up the numerical values in the next column.

I hope someone may be able to help out. Thanks.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

never-mind - I solved it, was a problem with my cell settings.
