Countif problem

Hello, i have a problem. I neet to make 187 countif. My criteria is "Adgroup G1", that will be the first count . In the next row i need a count if for "Adgroup G2", in the next row for "Adgroup G3".How can i do this?

If I am understanding your question that is a very easy countif use. In the next column over do a countif on Adgroup G1, for the range it is the column o the groups for the criteria select the cell of adgroup g1. then copy it down

So i have a column with 8000 cells.In the cells it is written "Adgroup G1" "Adgroup G2" and so on to "AdgroupG187". I need to count how many times in the C column Adgroup G1 appear and so on, so i will have 187 cells with count. I write the frist countif for Adgroup G1, it is like that =($c$2:$c$8000;"Adgroup G1"), now i need for Adgroup G2 and so on, how should i write so that that number after G will incrase by one for every new row?
