    Linking problem

    Hello!

I have a problem to solve, but i cannot figure it out how.

As you can see in the picture below in Row A i have numbers: 1, 2, 3 ... The goal is to link each of them in another row, but after each cell which contains a number there should be an empty cell.

    excel1.jpg

If i manually link first cells (C1=A1, C3=A2, C5=A3 etc.) and then mark them and extend the pattern it seems that pattern is broken (cell C9 should be =A5 instead of =A9).

I hope i described my problem well that you can understand it and can help me.

    Thank you alot!

    Re: Linking problem

    In C1, type

    ="=A"&row()

Leave C2 blank. Grab C1:C2, and copy paste downwards.

Select the range, copy, paste values.

    Re: Linking problem

thanks you for your answer but that still doesn't solve my problem. I did what you said, but i want that numbers in second row are rising same as numbers in first row (now it's showing every second).

    Re: Linking problem

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).
    HTH
    Regards, Jeff
