um,
i need an if condition formula to validate sentences in a column.
eg:
Banner: Comment Syntax eg
DAngelos Restaurant Good to go (something like) =if(a5) contains "DAngelos", good to go el se error
Dangelos Restaurant Error
hope this is will do
you may be able write a formula for one specific case but where is the list of data you wish to validate and where is the list you use to check?
eg
=IF(ISNUMBER(FIND("DAngelos",A5)),"good to go","error") will work but by the time you put that in a cell you could have done it manually
yup.....it works....xanks a mighty ton...![]()
and is there a formula to spell check in excel...search in google proved futile... only using "IF" .....i dont wanna use VBA
