    enabling paste in protected sheet

    Hi all,
I am trying to find a workaround to allow users to paste data into a cell range when the sheet is protected.
The cells are not locked and users can type in data and the workbook is shared. There is no visibility of the standard/formatting/drawing toolbars either.
So far I have the clipboard function to paste the data but I am wondering if there is a simpler way?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Cherryt,

If the cells are not locked then protection has no affect on them.
are you able to do ctrl + V ?
what options you checked while protecting the sheet ?

Re: enabling paste in protected sheet

Then it means that your cells are locked.
    but you said
    The cells are not locked
    .. can you check?

I just tried this -> unlocked all the cells and protected the sheet 1. Now typed a text in sheet 2 and copied that, came back to sheet 1 and done ctrl + V .. found no problems

unfortunately I can't upload any files. I am pasting data from another workbook/file it is not in the same file. I don't have the workbook protected just the sheets.
