    Combining consistent and inconsistent formulas

In the attached sheet, I need a conditional statement that will account for differences in formulas in a column. I'm baffled by AND and OR which I think are involved here. Will be grateful for help.

    In J3

    =IF(G3="",IF(D3>H3,(H3-D3)*F3+E3,E3),IF(D2>H2,(D2-H2)*F3+E3,E3))

    Copy down

This is really advanced stuff. All of it actually makes sense even at my level. Thank you.
