Using excel to group email subjects

    Hi,

I hope somebody can help me with the following as I am really lost when it comes to formulas.

I have a list of email subjects in an excel file and they are not in sequence and all over the place. I would like to sort the email subjects using excel. For example:

    How are you
    RE: How are you
    FW: RE: How are you
    RE: RE: RE: Bad Weather
    FW: Bad Weather
RE: FW: RE: How are you
    Bad Weather
    RE: FW: RE: Bad Weather

If use the normal sort function, they will only be sorted alphabetically. How can I go about using formulas or delimiters to sort / group them correctly?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi
One way you could do it is to make a copy of the subject column and in the copied column Search and Replace all the "RE: " and "FW: " entried with nothing and then use that column to sort you data.
    Good luck.
